A macabre tale with distinct overtones of Gaslight, involving a young woman (Tania Milojevic) plagued by messages on her answerphone - some from obsessive lovers, others from her boyfriend, and others from various public servants including police officers, glass salespeople, colleagues from the office and so on.

Eventually the sheer volume of messages proves too much for her, and she cannot stand any more of them.  Although not actually losing her mind, the stress proves too great for her.

Julie Hoverson's production explores how messages can prey on the mind; even those meant in good faith acquire sinister overtones, especially for someone apparently unable to fight back.  The play proves just how powerful - and sinister - an instrument the telephone can be, especially when the recipient of all the messages seems to be put under extreme pressure.
