Based on the sci-fi serials of
the Forties and Fifties, The Adventures of Space Marshal Dylan McCade is the story of an eponymous central character
(Joey Trimmer) who has to protect the Earth from the evil Empress Entropia (Ana Visneski), with the help of Jacqueline "Jax"
Blake (Kelli Taylor).
Narrated with tongue-in-cheek élan by Geno Younger, each podcast lasts no more than four or five minutes,
but they are written in the kind of hyperbolic language that seems at once absurd yet somehow appropriate for a
tale of space-travel, in which earthly conventions of "realism" (and perhaps verisimilitude) no longer apply. The
story has the capacity to leave listeners wanting more, which is precisely what this kind of radio drama requires.
