The 4077th Productions, October 2011 - April 2012
I really admire productions like this for their sheer ambition. Author
Viktor Aurelius has spread his net wide to create a drama involving hell, heaven, earth, angels, demons, the workings of nature
and the dark realms of the universe. No mundane plot lines here: we are catapulted into an elemental world where only the
fittest survive.
While the plot lines resemble those that characterize the most spectacular special
effects movie, the style is tongue-in-cheek; we are not necessarily asked to take the characters too seriously. The writing
is just slightly - but intentionally - over-the-top; appropriate, perhaps, for a series about the universe.
For those fond of trawling the internet for different kinds of drama, other than
that offered by the BBC, Lilith's Children offers the pleasure of listening to actors whose voices have become quite
familiar, including H. Keith Lyons (Teddy) and Gwendolyn Jensen-Woodard (Lanaia).
If listeners are fans of science fiction serials, whether broadcast on
radio, film and television or online, then the series will certainly appeal to them. I hope creator Aurelius is planning a
follow-up sometime.
